The apostle Peter was one of the twelve disciples appointed and taught by Jesus during His life on earth. Peter spent the final years of his life in ministry as a leader of the church in Rome. When he heard of the persecution of churches through the Roman provinces Peter wrote letters encouraging them to remain faithful to Jesus. Just as we are encouraged today!
