Hope for Alexis Update
Thanks to all who have donated to help Alexis and his family as they wait for his bone marrow surgery! We mailed a check to Dorcas last week for this family for $12,550! I wanted to give everyone an update on where things are to date. This family needs to have a total of $39,000 (a year’s living expenses for this family of 6) saved before the hospital will schedule the surgery. Dorcas has committed $10,000 towards this goal to completely…

Luke & Acts study
To make Disciple classes more readily available to those who are unable to make a long term commitment, we are offering our first short term study on Luke and Acts beginning August 1, 2021. This is a 16 week study alongside the current Disciple 2 class. The class is held Sunday evenings at 5-7 pm via zoom. Genesis DORCAS Mission Needs YOU!
Genesis UMC congregants have enabled the Dorcas Food Pantry to remain open on Saturdays since 2011. Volunteers serve on Saturdays to enable those clients who cannot make it to the food pantry during the week to do their shopping on Saturdays. Without Genesis, the pantry would not be able to operate on Saturdays and families in our community would go hungry. We need YOU! Genesis is low on volunteers. We need to replenish our volunteer base for this local mission.…
