3:16 Devotion April 2, 2020

I found this verse on Tik Tok. I think it applies greatly to what is happening in the world right now. Australia’s forests were burning due to the lack of rain. Africa’s crops are being devoured by locust right now. And COVID-19 is a worldwide pandemic, or pestilence. 2020 may be the year God has decided to allow us back into his kingdom. This could be his way of saying that during this time of quarantine, we should set time aside each day to focus on his presence, his love, and his care for us and the rest of the world. God does not hate, and God will not destroy the world again, but he is giving us this “opportunity” to remind us that He is the reason we stand here today, and we need to remember that.

Heavenly Father, we have lost sight of our one true King. We have forgotten you in a time of technology to where we have put other earthly things before you. We have given more attention to our technology and our scientists than we have to you, the Great Almighty. Forgive us for our negligence and our forgetfulness as we will not forget our Creator. In Jesus name we pray, Amen.
