Sharing God’s Love
Our family enjoys being outside in nature; hiking, biking or on the water. We’ve had to cancel several outdoor vacations due to the coronavirus pandemic. At first, I was disappointed, but it has given us an opportunity to find and explore some nearby Nature Preserves that we never knew about. We have managed to find some off the beaten paths where we have encountered only a few others on the trails.
This has allowed me to nurture my soul. When I am outside in God’s creation, I feel the closest to Him. One of the “Godliest” plants I saw yesterday was a plant that only had three leaves, each in a heart shape, growing out of the top of the stem. My first thought was of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. But as I walked on, I thought it could be symbolic of our situation.

We are in this together with God. So one leaf is my family, one is our community and church family and one is God walking along beside us during this unusual time we are living in. God needs us to be His hand and feet to others as He walks along beside us supporting us with His love and strength. We have been trying to be more aware of the needs of our neighbors, local small businesses and those working and how we may help them out. That too has allowed us to feel closer to God as we share His love.
A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know you are my disciples, if you love one another. John 13:34-35
