3:16 Devotion April 25, 2020

“I am the vine; you are the branches. If you remain in me and I in you, you will bear much fruit; apart from me you can do nothing.”

John 15:5 always centers me when I feel like I cannot clearly hear God. There are times when God directly answers our questions and prayers. There are also times when God’s answers are more cloudy. Sometimes things happen to us that we do not understand. It can be difficult to find significance in what God does, especially if it frustrates us or forces us to make unpleasant adjustments in our life.

However, we are always clear about one thing: to remain in Him. If we do, we will bear fruit.

No matter our job, state of health, wealth, or circumstance, we are always called to remain in God. If we do, He will remain in us.

Thank you, God, for remaining faithful. May we remember to remain in You, always. Be with those who feel far from You now, and offer them peace, comfort, and understanding. Remind us to stay steadfast in faith so that we bear fruit, and glorify Your name in the world today. Amen.
