3:16 Devotion May 8, 2020

Even though we are stuck in our homes, we should be thankful.  I am making efforts to be thankful for:

It’s starting to get a little better in some areas.  Some shops will be opening soon.  We can order some take-out food, when we are tired of cooking.  We have devices to stay connected.  We can go on walks.  We can mail letters.  We can write and most of all we can Pray!

I am praying we can go back to church together soon.

During this time my grandfather made me a swing in a beautiful tree outside my grandmother’s home.  I got to thinking, God’s love is like a swing.  How? Even when you push away, the swing comes right back. God comes right back, that’s just like HIS love! Even when you push away, God still loves you.  He knows your going to come back to him and HE will never stop coming back to you.

He will never stop Loving you.  God is what we need to rely on, ALWAYS rely on, not just when we are in trouble.  Just like a swing, HE will never let you go.  He will always love you and hold you.  The swing my grandfather built, I know it will hold strong, like the love of our heavenly Father.

Psalm 46:1 God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.

Dear God, we love you and praise your Holy Name.  We are so very thankful you created this world and your word to guide us.  Please help us to stay strong and keep our eyes on you.  Thank you for teaching us to trust you.  We pray for your continued healing and help during this difficult time.  Amen.
