Good Day at Methodist Build

Scouting Ministry at Genesis

Girl Scout Troop 1975  Girl Scout Troop 1975 has been enjoying exploring the outdoors this autumn, including seeing the natural impact of the recent hurricanes on our region. Our Cadettes have been working on their Eco-Trekker badge to learn how to responsibly hike with minimal impact. They hiked Umstead State Park and learned about the impact and pollution caused by runoff in our creeks and rivers following the storms. While camping at Camp Graham on Kerr Lake they saw more…

Helping Students in Honduras

We have a small group of our congregation who are planning to head to Honduras next year to check out Glen Evans’ newest mission effort, the Honduras Independence Bilingual School.  This school is located in the town of Quimistan, which is near the north coast of Honduras.  HIBS currently serves students in grades K-5 but has plans to add additional grades as they have    classroom space.  The school accepts children from all socio economic backgrounds and provides not only an…
