February Youth Mission: Ronald McDonald House Unleashed Youth are holding a collection for the Ronald McDonald House in Durham, NC during the month of February. Your participation is key to success! Help bless this organization with your donations of items below. Donations are being accepted at Genesis through Sunday February 26 at noon. Consider helping by donating: individually wrapped snacks, easy mac or other microwavable meals, cereal, clorox wipes, paper towels, facial tissues, or feminine hygiene products.

Dear Genesis’ families, Many blessings to you and your family, This coming July, Genesis is planning to have a series of SERVING SUNDAYS that go along with the Sermon Series Ten Characteristics of Faith. These Sundays in July will be an opportunity to put our faith into action while enjoying an hour of Christian fellowship and joyful servanthood. All Ages Event: Serving Sundays
On July 10th, we’ll launch Serving Sundays during the Christian Education hour. Each week we will join together as a church family of all ages to do a project for one of our Community Partners in Mission. All ages – children, youth and adults, are invited to participate in this serving and fellowship time on Sundays July 10, 17, 24 and 31st. On July 10th, we will be serving The Carying Place. This Community Partner helps homeless families become financially stable.…
Super Bowl SOUP Collection
Genesis Unleashed Youth are serving the Cary community once again. Unleashed is sponsoring a Super Bowl Soup Collection to benefit the Dorcas Food Pantry! From now through February 13, bring cans of soup to Genesis UMC and place them in the cart in our new HUGE Gathering Hall! The cart will be marked, and located near the front entry. Let’s keep our neighbors well fed and warm with lots of soup this winter!
New Start Date for In-Person Christian Education
SUNDAY, JANUARY 16, 2022 @ 10:00 a.m. All in-person Sunday Morning Christian Education classes for Adults, Youth and Children will resume SUNDAY JANUARY 16 @ 10 AM (prior date was JANUARY 9). This change is for construction clean up, technology installations, and an extra week of social distancing after holiday gatherings. Thank you for your understanding.

Genesis Youth @ Home
Genesis Youth have several opportunities to stay connected during this time apart. Contact youth@genesis-umc.org for information if you would like to join our virtual activities! Sunday Christian Education – Youth receive a link each week to a Bible project to do at home. Youth also stay connected via our private facebook group and instagram scripture posts.
