Preschool Staff Information

CPR/FIRST AID-Our staff are all CPR and First Aid certified.  Re-certification is required bi-annually using American Red Cross standards.

Continuing Education-Each staff person is required to complete three continuing education credits per school year.

Background checks– Each person has a background check completed prior to hiring and every three years thereafter.  All subs are background checked as well.  References are contacted for everyone before being hired.

Director– Ms. Marilyn has worked at Genesis since 2005 starting as a Fours teacher.  She moved to the position of Director in 2009.  She implements curriculum, reviews classroom lesson plans, organizes special events including field trips and oversees all of the daily activities.  She hires and supervises all staff.  She prepares all financial reports.

Assistant Director– Ms. Kelly maintains the database keeping records up to date, creating class lists and reports as needed.  She sends emails to keep families informed of Preschool activities.  She processes tuition payments and lunch bunch billing.

Classroom Staff-Each classroom has two co-teachers.  We value the experiences and education of each one on our staff utilizing their skills to help better serve children here at Genesis.  We work in teams to coordinate lesson plans and ideas.  All staff are required to submit monthly lesson plans that incorporate the monthly theme and a monthly calendar.
