Prayer for LIFT Bible Study

Prayer for LIFT Bible Study

A prayer service was held for the Ladies in Faith Together (LIFT) group on November 15, 2022.

Opening Prayer

Dear heavenly father, you have called us here today for a divine appointment with you. May we be still and know that you are God. Lord, help us, no matter the circumstances, to see you in our lives. In the eyes of the people we encounter may we see your love. In the ups and downs of life may we feel your loving touch and guiding hands. Above all, Lord, may we find peace in the knowledge that you love us so deeply and passionately that you sent your son Jesus to pay the price for our sins. Let us never forget Lord, that no matter what, you are sovereign. Thank you Lord for loving us and always knowing what is the best for us.
In the name of Jesus, Amen.

Closing Prayer

Dear Heavenly Father,

We turn to you because we know that you are a God full of love for us, your children.  You alone are the source of so much wisdom, goodness, love, guidance and protection that comes to us so freely.

We give you thanks for Laurie Short’s study and her faithful efforts to enrich our Bible study.  Our lesson today has shown us that it is our responsibility to slow down during our busy lives.  Help us open our eyes to see all Your goodness directed toward us.  Let us clearly understand Your message for our lives.   We ask that you give us courage to act upon any action required of us.  Let us be obedient children in Your sight.

We continue to pray for Genesis UMC.  Bless the efforts of all the leaders, staff and members as we work together to spread Your Word!

Today there have been many concerns shared for loved ones in need of healing, strength and guidance in their lives.  Consider each concern as our prayer for action in their lives as only You can provide.

We pray also for safety of the ladies of LIFT as they leave this place.  Be ever present in their lives until we meet again.

Hear our prayer this day in the name of Jesus Christ, Amen.
