drop in anytime between 10 AM—12 PM
For ALL AGES. This event is NOT TO BE MISSED!
Steve Stone, a licensed rehabilitator with the The American Wildlife Refuge, will visit Genesis on Saturday October 12th from 10 AM-12 PM. AWRefuge is a volunteer organization that helps rescue birds of prey, rehabilitate injured raptors, release rehabilitated birds, provide a refuge for unrelease-able birds, and educate the public about wild raptors in the Raleigh, NC area and beyond.
Steve will bring a variety of birds, depending on what he is caring for. These may include different species of owls such as barred owls, eastern and western screech owls; vultures; hawks; falcons.
Steve will bring out the birds one at a time and talk about them. You can sit and observe the birds. Bring your camera to take photographs. Steve will be available to answer your questions.
You are free to come at any time between 10 AM and 12 PM. Stay as long as you like. Adults, youth and children will all enjoy this fascinating event.
Out of the ground the LORD God formed every beast of the field and every bird of the sky, and brought them to the man to see what he would call them; and whatever the man called a living creature, that was its name. Genesis 2:19
