Cub Scout Pack 152

Cub Scout Pack 152 is a dynamic, active pack of approximately 40 boys ranging from kindergarten to 5th grade.  The pack is broken into 6 dens, one for each grade in school.  The pack places an emphasis on participatory citizenship, the outdoors, and STEM.  This year, our Scouts have been able to partner with the church to spread pine straw around the grounds, donate items to the Fill the Bucket campaign, and volunteer at the Rise Against Hunger event.  The pack is currently recruiting additional boys in all of our dens, where church members are given priority to join.  If you have any questions about joining or have additional service projects we may be able to help with, please contact Debbie Keelean-Fuller at djfuller@alumni.virginia.edu

The 2018 biking campout at the Virginia Creeper Trail was really fun for many scouts who came and showed interest toward biking through the trail. We had stops around many places in the path while biking. The place for eating lunch in the Trail was at an area with benches near a bridge. The entire campout felt amazing for many of the scouts.

Girl Scout Troop 382

The Cadettes have started the year off with many activities. We’re currently working on the council’s “Home Grown” patch, learning about the importance of agriculture in North Carolina. As part of that, we have volunteered at the Western Wake Farmers Market, and will head to the State Fair later this month. In September, we helped to package meals at Genesis for Rise Against Hunger, and this month we will play ball with the Miracle League. As this is our final year as Cadettes, some of the girls have started work on their Silver Awards, the highest award in Girl Scouts for girls at this level.
